* Paranoia influenza
is an exhibition composed of 30 canvases
(20x50 en 80x100cm) of which are literally nailed to a wooden
cross.
The crosses are individually possitioned in the room, notably forming a new
cross. Somewhat resembling spectators,
the remaining crosses gather in a
circle around the centrepoint.
This is symbolic of the artist’s source of inspiration;
the crucifixion of life.

In addition, poetry
describes the emotional state in which these canvases were created.
The
artworks can best be described as raw, complicated and with a talented eye
for detail.
An impression of chaos and deterioration. A ten year period of
reflection and maturation is visible in the artist’s canvases.
Layer upon
layer is applied; different lines and surfaces are visible and create
thrilling dimensional areas.
Some art pieces appear to have been damaged,
lived through and skratched upon; her ‘injured’canvases.
The pain and emotional
expressions of the artist are clearly visable.
*Rigor mortis fantastikus
is the impressive sequel to the successful ''paranoia influenza''.
Jolande van Lith
hereby directs her talents towards a more expressive art form.
The exhibition consists of 12 impressive life-size crosses.
The crosses each possess details of dying and death once
again.
One cross contains oxidized iron pins which are treated with the
blood of the artist.

“Suffering is art and vice-versa.. This time I wanted to go further than sharing
emotional perception visually.
With the sacrifice of my blood I wish to fuse my soul with the matter..”
The crosses are colourful and sensational with their bulging
eyes and mystic signs.
The exhibition screams ominously dark emotions and
thoughts.
Along with the succeful
exhibition
"Porno Religieusika" her book has been published.
''An abstract, modernized vision of the 10 commandments versus
her lust for life,
entwined with a tantalisingly sexual tone".
